Two suspects arrested, two more sought, in Sarnia home invasion

Sarnia police have arrested two people, and are searching for two others, in a violent home invasion in the 100 block of Christina Street South.

Officers were dispatched to the scene on Monday, at around 7:45 p.m.

Police said the caller reported that four individuals (two males and two females) forced their way into a residence, and the two males were masked and possibly armed with a gun.

The suspects fled the area after police were called, but officers were able to identify the two females.

K9 Shadow helped to locate and seize a knife that was allegedly used by the suspects during the attempted break-in.

The pair were arrested when they tried to leave an apartment on George St. several hours later.

Midajah Rogers, 21, was held for bail on charges of break and enter and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

A teenager, who can't be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with break and enter and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of uttering threats.

Both suspects were released by the courts, with conditions, following their bail hearings.

Police said they're still working to identify the two males involved.
