With Ontario’s municipal elections coming up on October 26, Lambton OPP have issued a warning to anyone thinking about messing with campaign signs.
The detachment is reporting a recent spike in complaints about election signs being stolen, vandalized, or removed without permission.
Officers are reminding the public that tampering with or damaging campaign property isn't just a nuisance, it’s a crime under the Criminal Code of Canada that can result in formal charges.
Anyone with details on stolen or damaged signs in Lambton County is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
