LCDS announces new supports director

Lambton County Developmental Services (LCDS) has named its new supports director.

Lori Richardson will join the senior leadership team next month.

Richardson has 26 years of experience with LCDS, having started in 2000 as a high school co-op student.

Since 2018, Richardson has served as the quality enhancement manager for LCDS, and has also served as support services manager, resource and planning coordinator, team leader, and frontline support worker.

Executive Director Nick Salaris said her leadership is grounded in heart, integrity and a deep understanding of the people and communities we serve.

“Her experience, her commitment to quality, and her long history with our organization make her an exceptional addition to our senior leadership team," said Salaris in a news release. "We are excited for the vision and energy she brings to this role as we continue building an inclusive future for the people we support.”

The change follows the retirement of Residential Supports Director Jill Johnston.

LCDS has empowered people with developmental disabilities to live full, meaningful lives for over 70 years.
