Trial underway for CK support worker accused of fraud

A fraud trial is underway in Chatham for a woman accused of taking nearly $21,000 for electronics, but failing to deliver them to several people assisted by Community Living in Chatham-Kent.

On Wednesday, the court heard testimony from two complainants with varying developmental and intellectual abilities, alleging that Support Worker Kimberly Walker, 57, of Tilbury, took money from the supported people for televisions and mobile devices, but they never received the items.

According to court documents obtained by CK News Today, the allegations took place between 2022 and 2024, and Walker was arrested in August 2024.

The trial and more testimony are expected to continue on January 30, 2026.
