Unforeseen impacts related to the ongoing renovations at the Mooretown Sports Complex have forced the Mooretown Library to temporarily close for an unknown period of time.
The County of Lambton said it was recently advised that the project at the sports complex will impact access and operations at the library, which is located on the second floor of the Emily Street building.
The temporary closure officially begins on Monday, September 7.
The county said updates will be shared with the public and a reopening date for Mooretown Library will be determined as the renovation project progresses.
Mooretown Library's collection will be moved to other Lambton County Library locations during the closure.
Patrons are encouraged to visit other nearby branches such as those in Corunna, Courtright and Brigden.
St. Clair Township Mayor Jeff Agar previously said structural issues were uncovered while work was underway to enhance the pool area.
