Shipwreck secrets PA day event at Lambton Heritage Museum

The Lambton Heritage Museum is inviting residents to explore local nautical history during its Shipwreck Secrets PA Day event on Friday, June 5.

The interactive event explores different shipwrecks that happened near Lambton County. Visitors can view artifacts and learn about the causes of historic sinkings.

“Shipwrecks are powerful reminders of the risks and resilience tied to our region’s waterways,” said Colleen Inglis, Educational Program Coordinator with Lambton Heritage Museum. “PA Day events like this turn important history into something visitors can see, touch, and experience. It’s a fun way for families to learn together while exploring the challenges and discoveries of life on the water.”

The event will take place while the museum is putting on its "Bluewaterland: Dive Into the Depths" exhibit, which explores how the lake and St. Clair River have impacted life in Lambton County.

The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, June 5. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors (65+) and students, $3 for children, and children aged three and under are free.
