Novice driver accused of speeding 140 km/h in 90 zone

A 29-year-old Corunna driver is facing a few charges for allegedly speeding past a stop sign at the intersection of Mandaumin Road and Plank Road.

Lambton OPP said the vehicle was also clocked driving 140 kilometres per hour in a posted 90 km/h zone.

An officer on general patrol pulled the vehicle over shortly after 11:10 p.m. on Saturday, March 28.

The motorist was charged with stunt driving, disobeying a stop sign, obstructing a licence plate, and having a blood alcohol concentration above zero as a novice driver.

The accused has a court appearance scheduled in Sarnia for May 14.
