Suspects sought in robbery, kidnapping investigation

One person has been arrested and Sarnia police are searching for two other suspects in connection with a robbery and kidnapping investigation.

Officers were called to a Cromwell Street residence about an armed robbery on March 23, shortly after 10 p.m.

It's alleged the victim was robbed, forced into a vehicle, and further threatened while being driven around and then eventually released.

The Sarnia Police Service (SPS) is searching for 30-year-old Cole Dew and 40-year-old Brennan Erdodi.

They are each facing multiple charges, including robbery, kidnapping, weapons offences, and breaching court orders.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Dew or Erdodi is urged to contact the SPS at 519-344-8861 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Meanwhile, police arrested a 32-year-old man the night of the incident. He was found alone inside the suspect vehicle, which was parked outside the Cromwell Street residence.

Officers seized multiple weapons from inside the vehicle, including a conducted energy weapon, a knife, a hatchet, and brass knuckles, as well as property believed to belong to the victim.

Police said Shane Robinson-Young was charged with robbery with a weapon, kidnapping, disguise with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited device, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of property obtained by crime, possession contrary to prohibition order, and two counts of disobeying a court order.

Robinson-Young was held in custody following a bail hearing.
