ENWIN, the utility company, is entering a four-month partnership with the Municipality of Lakeshore to support Lakeshore's drinking water operations.
ENWIN employees will provide supervisory and operational support to Lakeshore's Water Treatment and Water Distribution Teams. The partnership is expected to improve Lakeshore's operational capacity.
"Our water operators are incredibly dedicated to providing safe and clean drinking water to our residents, and this partnership will help support their work and the continued delivery of this critical service," said Lakeshore Mayor Tracey Bailey.
ENWIN's employees will provide expertise and knowledge of best practices, but the arrangement won't change water service to the public.
"ENWIN is pleased to have the opportunity to support a neighbouring municipality and share our experience where it can provide value," said ENWIN's Chief Operating Officer, Robert Spagnuolo.
