Windsor police have arrested a 20-year-old man following an assault in the Glengarry area.
Officers were called to the area at around 9 p.m. on Tuesday on a report of a violent assault. They found a man with lacerations to the head, arm, and leg. Police learned that the victim was in an apartment when he was attacked by another man with a metal pipe.
Officers found the suspect as he tried to flee the building and arrested him. A taser, as well as small quantities of crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl, were found on him.
He is charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a prohibited weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a Schedule I substance, obstructing an officer, and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.
The charges have not been proven in court.
There was no word on the victim's condition.
