There's a decent chance that a Canadian could win the PGA's RBC Canadian Open for the second time in the tournament's history.
The four-round event is happening at TPC Toronto this weekend, and Hamilton's Mackenzie Hughes finds himself two shots behind the lead heading into the final day.
He's currently at 12-under-par, tied for sixth. Hughes is coming off his best round of the tournament, a 6-under 64 on Saturday.
Currently in first is Italy's Matteo Manassero, after he also posted a 6-under 64 in the third round.
Hughes is slated to tee off in the tournament's third-to-last pair. If he wins, he will join Nick Taylor as the only Canadians to win the competition. Taylor won back in 2023.
Other Canadians in contention include Taylor, Adam Hadwin and Taylor Pendrith, who are each at 10-under-par.
Fellow Canadians Richard Lee, Ben Silverman, Corey Conners, and Matthew Anderson are all in the top 36 after three rounds.
