Rebound announces lucky winner of Wheels of Summer raffle

Sarnia's Kim Colborne will be riding in style this summer.

She's the lucky winner of a metallic blue 2026 Ford Mustang convertible after having her name drawn in Sarnia-Lambton Rebound's Wheels of Summer raffle.

The draw was done at Sarnia Ford Lincoln at noon on Wednesday.

Rebound Fund Development Coordinator Beverley Horodyski announced the winning ticket via Facebook Live.

She said they were able to raise $43,000 which is amazing.

"We have been working since the middle of May on the Wheels of Summer car raffle campaign at Rebound," said Horodyski. "The first thing we want to do is thank Reg Hanlon and the team here at Sarnia Ford Lincoln. They've been absolutely amazing to work with. We couldn't have done it without them."

Horodyski expressed her appreciation for everyone who purchased a ticket.

"We want to thank the community, everyone across Sarnia-Lambton and beyond because lots of ticket buyers from different parts of Ontario have supported Rebound as well," she said. "Keeping in mind all the funds we raise for Rebound go back into programming at our agency and our agency supports youth from eight years to 24 years old. They need our support more now than ever so by your ticket purchases that changes lives in our community so thank you again for that."

Raffle tickets for the car were sold at $100 apiece.

Over the past 40 years, Rebound has supported over 42,000 youth and their families in Sarnia-Lambton.
