Additional photos of murder suspect released

Sarnia investigators have released updated photos of 24-year-old Kyaw Eh Doe, who's wanted in the murder of Dane Nisbet.

Doe, who also goes by the names "Chin" and "Leo King" is wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant on charges of second-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, and possession of a firearm while prohibited.

Nisbet and two others were shot outside of Lambton College's bar on April 10. Nisbet tragically died in hospital and was laid to rest on April 17.

Three people have been arrested and charged as part of the investigation.

Anyone with information on Doe's whereabouts can report it anonymously through Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 519-332-TIPS (8477) or online at www.p3tips.com.

Crime Stoppers is currently offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to Doe's arrest.

During Thursday's Sarnia Police Service Board meeting, Chief Derek Davis asked civic-minded individuals interested in donating funds toward Crime Stoppers' rewards to first go through the proper channels before making public announcements.

"I say that because there's a lot going on that's not at the surface and good intentions can have unintended consequences," Davis said. "We just want to make sure that whatever we do as a community, whatever we do as an investigative team is unified and coordinated, and in the best interest of bringing justice for Dane."

Davis said they don't want someone with information to hesitate in providing a tip because they're holding out for a larger or separate reward.

"We know everyone's got great intentions, but we're focused on resolving this case as quickly as possible," Davis said.

The SPS formally approved funding for the reward on Thursday. Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers authorized a reward of $5,000, and the board authorized an expenditure of $20,000 from its discretionary fund for a total of $25,000.
