Local residents will brave the chilly waters of Lake Huron on Thursday.
The fourth annual Polar Plunge at Canatara Park Beach, in support of Bluewater Health Addiction Services, will get underway at 11 a.m., weather permitting.
In 2024, over 100 people participated in the plunge, and organizers were hoping to see even more people this year.
Participants are asked to meet beside the lifeguard building on the beach. You're reminded to dress warmly and bring along a blanket and towel.
The plunge will follow a 10 minute guided breathing session, which is also open to spectators and supporters.
