The Sarnia-Lambton United Way is bringing back a tasty fundraiser in an effort to beef up the annual campaign.
The second annual Novemburger kicked off on Saturday, November 1 and runs for the entire month.
Volunteer President Jason Killingsworth said over a dozen area restaurants are signed up.
"Burger Rebellion, both locations, Christo's, Stoke's, Sherwood Restaurant, Rondo's Pizza, Midtown Tap and Grill, John's Restaurant, Grogs, MacPherson's just to name a few," he said.
Killingsworth said $2 from every burger sold at participating restaurants will go to the annual fundraising effort.
Last year's inaugural Novemburger raised about $4,000 for the campaign.
"It was a great success," said Killingsworth. "I loved being able to go out and have an excuse to go for lunch or dinner and also being able to donate to the United Way while enjoying a tasty burger."
To date, the annual fundraising effort has raised $758,450 or 51 per cent of the $1.5 million goal.
The United Way provides funding for 28 local programs offered through 16 agencies across the community.
The campaign runs until the end of the year.
