Preparations are underway for the annual Celebration of Lights.
Board Chair Dean Holtz said the large displays will be moved to Sarnia's Centennial Park on Saturday, November 1.
He said they need about 20 volunteers, trucks and trailers to help move them starting at 9 a.m.
"We've got to pull everything out of the sea cans and bring it over to the park," said Holtz. "So what we need is some trucks and trailers. We do ask the trailers be at least 14 feet long because our display parts, the ones that are loose mind you that we would need to put on those trailers, they are a decent size so they won't fit in a small trailer or even a truck."
Friday, November 14 is crane day to set up the iconic candle arch over Front Street.
Holtz said community set up day is in just over two weeks, on Saturday, November 15.
Volunteers are asked to gather at the park for 9 a.m. that day to help finish assembling the over 50 displays which will be lit up on November 29 for the holiday season.
Holtz said they've lost about $7,000 in sponsorship this year, so the volunteer run organization is appealing for new donors and sponsors.
"And we understand, people and businesses from year to year sometimes they can do it, sometimes they can't so we just have to appealing to the community," he said. "So we definitely could use maybe some new people to step up and help out to make sure that we can do everything that we want to do."
