Tickets go on sale for the 19th Dancing Under the Stars Gala on Monday, June 2.
St. Joseph's Hospice Sarnia-Lambton Director of Fund Development and Community Relations Maria Muscedere said the event takes place on November 1, 2025.
"We just want to thank the community for their support," said Muscedere. "All proceeds from the gala support our $2.5 million dollar fundraising goal that we have to raise this year. It's critical funding to keep our doors open and continue offering compassionate care to our community, as well as programs and services."
Muscedere said it's one of the most anticipated events of the year.
"We transform the nursery into a ballroom. It takes 130 volunteers and one week to do that. We want to thank our sponsors, Kel-Gor who is our Supernova Sponsor and DeGroot's Nurseries who is our gala host," she said.
Fund Development Coordinator Lesley Coene said Stiletto Fire -- who has been the band at the event for the past several years -- is coming back again.
"Tickets are $150 per person and they include a fun evening with a gourmet dinner, dancing, live auction, silent auction, raffle," Coene said.
Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m.
"They need to call the hospice, 519-337-0537," she said. "If you're not successful in getting tickets, we do take a waiting list and often come September, people get their sports schedules and everything else and tables do become available."
The gala raised a record amount in 2024, just over $230,000.
