Edwards named to OHL's second all-rookie team

The Sarnia Sting's Beckham Edwards has been named to the Ontario Hockey League's (OHL) second all-rookie team.

The freshman centre is coming off an impressive first season with the Sting, scoring 25 goals and adding 20 assists for 45 points.

Edwards captured rookie of the week honours a pair of times early in the season.

He's the first Sting player voted to an all-rookie team since 2018-19 when Jacob Perreault accomplished the feat.

Despite a strong campaign, fellow Sting rookie Alessandro Di Iorio was not named to either all-rookie squad. He put up 38 points across 58 regular season games.
