The 2025 Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign raised $81,654 for the Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton.
The tasty fundraiser was held from April 28 to May 4.
A cheque presentation was held on Thursday, May 15 at the Tim Hortons on London Road.
Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton Board Chair Brandon Vale said the money raised from Sarnia and Bright's Grove locations will stay in the community.
"The smile cookie campaign will be going directly into programming supporting persons living with dementia and their care partners in the Sarnia-Lambton community," he said. " So, the programs that are not currently funded by the government that we have to fundraise for, these dollars will go directly into providing these services to the clients which are very beneficial."
Additionally, it will go to the organization's social recreation programming.
Manager of Fund Development and Communications Marie Marcy-Smids said there has been a shortfall in funding this year.
"The numbers keep growing but our funding doesn't match what the need is and we have an aging population in Sarnia-Lambton, so we know it's only going to be exacerbated as time goes on," she said.
During the campaign, the Alzheimer Society was able to fill nearly 200 volunteer shifts to help decorate cookies.
This is the first time the organization has worked with Tim Hortons and the Smile Cookie Campaign.
Last year, $65,000 went to Community Living.
Marcy-Smids said the hope was to raise more than that.
"We knew that was our benchmark and we wanted to do better than that," she said. "I was hoping for 70 [thousand] but the community really came together for us."
This year's campaign was the most raised in the community.
Meanwhile, in Petrolia the campaign raised $13,058 for the Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital (CEEH).
