Two Sarnia residents are facing drug trafficking charges after city police seized over $2,000 worth of fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Members of the Sarnia Police Major Case Action Team and the Emergency Response Team searched an apartment on London Road on Wednesday night.
During a search, police seized 22.19 grams of fentanyl, 13.27 grams of methamphetamine, a grinder with fentanyl residue, two digital scales with fentanyl residue, a frying pan with green fentanyl, and a glass containing food colouring.
The value of drugs seized is estimated at $2,485.
City police said a 32-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were jointly charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
They were both held for bail.
