COVID outbreak declared over at Petrolia's Continuing Care unit

A COVID-19 outbreak declared on February 18 in the Continuing Care unit at Petrolia's Charlotte Eleanor Englehart (CEE) Hospital is now over.

Bluewater Health issued the update Thursday afternoon after consulting with Lambton Public Health.

"Diligent infection prevention and control measures were key in helping control this outbreak," read a media release. "Bluewater Health is grateful for the support of all staff and professional staff, patients and families, visitors, and the community during this time."

Bluewater Health currently has fewer than five COVID-positive patients in hospital.

Residents visiting loved ones in the hospital are encouraged to stay home if they're feeling unwell.
