Chatham woman charged for using golf club during assault

A 35-year-old Chatham woman has been charged for allegedly attacking someone with a golf club.

According to Chatham-Kent (CK) police, the accused hit the victim over the head, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries.

The alleged assault happened on June 7, 2026, with officers arresting the woman on Monday afternoon.

She's since been charged with assault causing bodily harm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The woman has been released from police custody with a future court date.

Highway 402 speed limit set to increase next month

From Waterworks Road to 350 metres east of Colborne Road in Sarnia, and on a short stretch between Highway 401 to White Oak Road in London, the speed limit will be 110 kilometres an hour beginning July 31.
